Holiday Cat

Well, it's 1 August
The summer holidays have begun
And I'm ready and packed,
Where do we go?
(please not to the vet's again
I'm looking for new
adventures)

Dragonfly

Caught in an instant
On a leaf
In the sun . . .

Evening Walk

As the day quietens
There is a feeling
Of coming to rest
And completion . . .

Chaffinch

The beauty of the season
With the birds so active
Proclaiming their territories
A joy to hear and see . .

Unexpected Beauty

Arriving early
To line-dancing
I drove up a side-lane
And encountered
A beautiful view . . .

Robin

Sitting there
Singing his heart out
Proclaiming
His territory
With beautiful song.

The Library

As  Cornwall Council wishes
To impose further cuts
A protest was held today
And we all held hands
Around the library
Expressing
Our appreciation
For this
Very special
Facility.
