Perception of Time

Personifications of Perception (seen here) and...Image via Wikipedia

I've just read an article that posits the opinion that time might not exist. Simultaneously I both agree and disagree with it. Our perception of time could be very much linked with our psychological apparatus and the linear processing that it requires to perceive, think and act on our environment. This lapse in the processing could be very much what we perceive as 'time'. But equally change occurs regularly in our natural environment as plants and ourselves age and grow. There is a logical sequence which all life follows even if it is at different rates according the to species. How is that to be defined other than by the concept of time?
