A Welcome Break

From the rain
For a while
Until it returned again
In heavy showers.
Nevertheless we walk
Glad to breathe fresh air
And feel the breeze
And occasional sunshine
On our skins.

Taking on
A red breast
From one
Which was
Previously mottled
My inquisitive friend
Investigates
The environment.

Sea View

Sometimes clear,
Sometimes,
Sneaking along
By the cliffs
The mist
Edges on.

August Evening

Clouds on the horizon
Hide the sun
Except for a glimpse
Here and there . . .

Berry Feast

Blackbirds dive
Into the Berberis
To feast on
The ripe
Blue berries
Whilst keeping
An eye out
For interlopers.

Scene of Summer Tranquility

A lake in the
Middle of the woods
Gives ducks and swans
A home.

In Tehidy Woods
Watching the Sun
Filter through
Green leaves and
Tall trees.
Then spying
A resident.
