How alive is the concept of integrity in 2011, I wonder? Has it been strangled and beaten into submission by the joint concepts of profit and power? So much, particularly corporate, motivation is based on greed and profit, that I wonder whether the concept of integrity even exists for many larger businesses.
And yet where would we all be without the concept of integrity. It is that little truth which tells us that just because we can do something because we have the power or means to do it, it doesn't necessarily mean that we should. How much a little integrity in all our lives would help us all to be more honest and fair. How much a little integrity in business would mean that fairer prices and services would be delivered to customers. That would make a powerful difference for one small virtue, in the lives of everyone.
I'm afraid dear lady that I have no hope for the recovery of integrity - it is dead and gone - along with honesty and goodwill :(
